I live in Alaska. Are you serious? You don’t have a clue how big the state of Aalska is, do you?

If you came to Alaska as a visitior you would be staying in and around most of the cities, state parks, national parks etc etc and the road system. No polar bears there. They live on ocean ice.

To encounter a polar bear you need to go hundreds of miles north from Anchorage by jet plane out of your way to Barrow in the middle of dead winter, or, fly into Kaktovik from Fairbanks and then fly a tiny little 6 or 8 passenger plane to a remote village for one of the polar bear viewing tours.

The majority of Alaskans have never seen a polar bear – except for a zoo. You have to go way, way out of your way to find one – it is expensive.

    Hope this helps.
