Here in Chicago we have the Cubs, Bears, Bulls, Blackhawks and unfortunately the White Sox. 1 team for every sport except baseball. Why do you need this many teams in one state?

3 big metro areas, LA-O.C., SF-Oakland-San Jose, SD. And LA still doesn’t have an NFL team. Only one big metro area in Illinois, but NY State has both NYC and Buffalo, and Texas has Houston, Dallas-Ft. Worth, San Antonio. Florida has Miami, Jacksonville, and Tampa Bay. So its not unreasonable considering the metro areas in California.
