And if Al Gore's (The Inconvenient Truth) projection is right, in time to come, polar bears' habitat would be reduced to nothing. If that would to happen, polar bear, in my opinion, shall adapt to the increasing temperature on Earth - probably by reducing their fat and fur. Next, there'll be a need for them to adapt to situation where they need to swim further to require a land where they can rest on, as the ice would be melting and places for resting wil be minimized to none. Of course ths would be needed by only few generations because if they happen to survive, the later generations would be living on land, instead of ice(again, if they can survive). Instead of 'fishing' by stomping a hole through the ice, and detect animals hiding below the ice, they need to learn to fish like grizzly bears and change their diet to other animals on land. lastly, the hunters. For this, i dont think there's any adaptation, other increase in rate of reproduction, like how rabbits reproduce. Or genetic changes that make them smaller in size together with changes in colour as part of camouflage. Laws would be a better solution. similar to answer above, with more elaborations.
